Kathmandu, Nepal — WWF Nepal, in collaboration with the ALIGN Project and the Nepal PhD Association, hosted a National Dialogue on Green, Resilient, and Inclusive Infrastructure Development. The event aimed to foster collaboration among stakeholders to promote sustainable infrastructure development while addressing environmental challenges.
The program featured presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, engaging representatives from various sectors, including government agencies, the private sector, civil society, and development organizations.
Addressing the dialogue, Honorable Minister Ain Bahadur Shahi, from the Ministry of Forests and Environment, emphasized the importance of collective efforts. “Different sectors of society such as the private sector, civil society, development organizations, and government agencies should come together to build an environment for the development of sustainable and green infrastructure,” he said.
The event highlighted innovative strategies to integrate environmental sustainability, social equity, and economic resilience into Nepal’s infrastructure projects. Participants shared their experiences and best practices for minimizing the environmental impact of development activities while ensuring inclusivity and resilience in the face of climate challenges.
WWF Nepal, under the banner of #TogetherPossible, reiterated its commitment to working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to advance Nepal’s sustainable development goals.
