Kathmandu – The Nepal Land and Housing Developer's Federation (NLHDF) successfully concluded its Third General Assembly 2024 with the election of Bishnu Prasad Ghimire as the new President. Ghimire will lead a 15-member executive committee for the next two years, focusing on advancing the federation's vision of secure and sustainable housing development across Nepal.
The newly elected executive committee members, including Ghimire, took their oath of office during the assembly, marking the beginning of their tenure. The event was held under the theme "Secure Housing: Foundation for Development" and brought together key stakeholders to discuss strategies for addressing the challenges of urbanization, affordability, and environmental sustainability in the housing sector.
In his inaugural address, President Ghimire emphasized the importance of collaboration between government bodies, private developers, and local communities to ensure housing security and foster planned urban growth. He also highlighted the federation’s commitment to implementing innovative practices to enhance the quality and accessibility of housing in Nepal.
Established in 2055 BS, NLHDF has been instrumental in shaping housing policies and promoting responsible land use across the country. The General Assembly not only served as a platform to review past achievements but also set the stage for future priorities aligned with Nepal's developmental goals.
The event concluded with a renewed pledge by the federation to make housing security a cornerstone of Nepal's sustainable development while striving for inclusivity and innovation in the sector.
