A tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on December 17, 2024, at the Himalayan Trust Nepal (HTN) Office in Dillibazar to establish computer labs in eight schools across Solukhumbu and Khotang districts. The agreement, signed between Himalayan Trust Nepal, EduTech Nepal, and the participating schools, aims to transform education through technology integration. The schools benefiting from this initiative are:
1. Makpa Secondary School, Aiselukharka, Khotang
2. Himganga Secondary School, Chaulakharka, Solukhumbu
3. Buddha Secondary School, Goli, Solukhumbu
4. Rampur Secondary School, Kaku, Solukhumbu
5. Namlung Secondary School, Hunga, Solukhumbu

7. Tengboche Monastery School, Tengboche, Solukhumbu

The establishment of these computer labs has been made possible through the generous funding support of Mike and Sheryl Chisholm's initiatives under EduTech Nepal and Himalayan Trust NZ, in collaboration with the respective schools.
With the addition of these eight new labs, a total of 51 computer labs will now be operational across the Solukhumbu and Khotang regions. The initiative is a significant step towards enhancing digital literacy and improving access to quality education in remote areas of Nepal.
Himalayan Trust Nepal and EduTech Nepal emphasized the transformative potential of these labs, ensuring students in these rural regions gain exposure to technology-driven learning environments.
This collaboration reflects a broader vision to bridge the digital divide and empower rural communities through education, aligning with Nepal's national goals for technology integration in education.
