Dharan, 28 December 2024 – Sechha Adventure and Holidays Park, located in Chinde Danda of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-20, is rapidly becoming a prime destination for adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers. Established just four years ago, the park has transformed from a desolate area into a bustling tourist attraction, offering unique adventure experiences and scenic landscapes.
Visitors from nearby cities like Biratnagar, including Anusi Koirala and Diwash Rai, are drawn to the park's offerings. Anusi, who hiked three kilometers to reach the park, described her joy at experiencing zipline cycling for the first time. "It's an exhilarating experience. I urge my friends and others to visit this park," she said. Diwas, who had previously seen the park on social media, was impressed by the real-life experience, remarking, "It’s even better than it looks online."
Located just six kilometers from Dharan's main market, the park is easily accessible by hiking or vehicle. Its signature attractions include zipline cycling, a hanging bridge, a Russian circle, and a children’s park. Additionally, paragliding is gaining popularity among adventure seekers.
Vasudev Baral, the park's director, highlighted the park’s uniqueness: "This is the first adventure park in our province, and we’re delighted by the overwhelming response from tourists." The park has become a popular spot for student picnics and group outings, bolstered by various attractive packages.
The park spans 2.5 bighas and was initially built with an investment of NPR 50 million. Recent additions to its infrastructure have raised the total investment to NPR 70 million. With increasing footfall, it has also become a significant contributor to the local economy, creating opportunities for employment and promoting local tourism.
Sechha Adventure and Holidays Park stands as a testament to how strategic investment and innovative ideas can transform underutilized spaces into thriving centers of activity. It is not only a recreational spot but also a symbol of Dharan’s potential as a tourist hub.
