Kathmandu, Nepal – The 9th Young Scientists Summit (YSS) has officially commenced at Uniglobe Secondary School, Kamaladi, on 27 December 2024. The two-day event has brought together young innovators from grades 6 to 12 to showcase their scientific ideas and innovations. A total of 20 student projects are being displayed at the summit.
Dr. Rameshor Adhikari, President of the Nepal Polymer Institute, highlighted the significance of this platform, stating, "This summit is a remarkable opportunity for young minds to present their creativity and contribute to the scientific community."
Similarly, event coordinator Jayaram Ghimire emphasized the importance of such initiatives in nurturing innovation and fostering scientific curiosity among students. He remarked, "Platforms like YSS inspire students to think beyond the classroom and prepare for global challenges."
The winners of the summit will earn the chance to represent Nepal at the Asia Pacific Conference of Young Scientists (APCYS-2025) in Singapore, furthering their journey in the international scientific arena.
The event has garnered significant attention, serving as a hub for science enthusiasts, educators, and professionals.
