A one-day National Workshop on the iCARE Innovation Fund was held on September 16 in Kathmandu. The event was organized by the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) in collaboration with the Institute of Himalayan Risk Reduction (IHRR), NAXA, AIT, and Wind Power Nepal.
During the workshop, S4W Nepal presented the progress and achievements of the ongoing Victory Citizen Science Project, currently being implemented in Barbardiya Municipality, Bardiya, and Bhimeshwor Municipality, Dolakha.
The event brought together innovators, government representatives, local stakeholders, researchers, and experts for a series of fruitful discussions on innovative approaches to climate adaptation and disaster resilience. The platform allowed for the exchange of cutting-edge ideas and solutions, emphasizing the importance of community-based approaches to building climate resilience.
Participants left the workshop with a renewed commitment to applying the insights gained to further strengthen citizen science initiatives and improve disaster preparedness in vulnerable communities.
