The Syangja District Chamber of Commerce and Industry is set to host the seventh Syangja Festival from February 18 to March 1. The provincial-level event will take place at the sports ground in Putalibazar Municipality–1, bringing together a vibrant showcase of agriculture, tourism, and industrial trade.
According to General Secretary Rabin KC, the festival aims to highlight Syangja’s local potential while fostering regional development. The event will focus on promoting local products and addressing challenges in their effective marketing.
Speaking about the festival’s objectives, President Mahadev Shrestha said, “Local production has been declining, and the existing products face difficulties in reaching broader markets. This festival is a step toward revitalizing local industries and boosting the tourism sector.”
The inauguration of the festival secretariat marks an important milestone in preparation for the event. The secretariat was formally launched by Deepak Lamsal, a former central member of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
This festival is anticipated to draw visitors from across the province, serving as a platform to celebrate Syangja’s rich agricultural and cultural heritage. It also aligns with efforts to enhance local livelihoods by creating sustainable economic opportunities.
