Kathmandu, January 25, 2025
WWF Nepal has announced a call for proposals for three innovative initiatives aimed at promoting conservation and sustainable coexistence between humans and wildlife. These opportunities target diverse areas of environmental management and technological advancement.
1. Event Management for Earth Hour 2025
WWF Nepal is seeking proposals for the overall conceptualization, coordination, and execution of Earth Hour 2025. The goal is to create an impactful and seamless event that raises awareness about climate change and the need for collective action.
2. Development of a Digital Information Management System
Aimed at addressing human-wildlife conflict, WWF Nepal plans to digitize the reporting process for livestock depredation in Shey Phoksundo National Park. This initiative includes the creation of a mobile app to support WWF’s Wildlife Damage Relief Guidelines (WDRG) relief process, ensuring effective documentation and management of such incidents.
3. Understanding Human-Tiger Conflict Risks
Proposals are being sought to study human-tiger conflict in the eastern Terai Arc Landscape (TAL). The focus is on generating evidence-based insights to support adaptive management strategies and promote harmonious coexistence between local communities and tigers.
These initiatives underscore WWF Nepal’s commitment to fostering sustainable solutions to environmental challenges and ensuring the conservation of Nepal’s rich biodiversity.
Interested parties are encouraged to submit their proposals promptly. For detailed information, visit WWF Nepal’s official website at wwfnepal.org.
