Kathmandu, February 8, 2025 – The Management Association of Nepal (MAN) successfully hosted the National Management Convention 2025 and Annual General Meeting (AGM) today at Hotel Himalaya, Kupondole, Lalitpur. The event brought together prominent government officials, business leaders, academics, and policymakers to discuss infrastructure financing and its critical role in Nepal’s economic growth.
The convention was inaugurated by Honorable Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, who also unveiled the convention’s theme, “Mobilizing Domestic Resources in Infrastructure Financing.” In his keynote address, he highlighted the need for innovative strategies to bridge Nepal's infrastructure gap and ensure sustainable development.

The day-long event was divided into four sessions, including business discussions, panel presentations, the AGM, and an awards ceremony.
Business Session and Theme Paper Presentation
Dr. Biswash Gauchan, Mr. Chandra Prasad Dhakal, and Mr. Sushil Gyewali shared their expert insights on infrastructure financing in Nepal during a business session chaired by Mr. Mohan Raj Ojha, President of MAN. A comprehensive theme paper presented by Mr. Krishna P.D. Acharya, an executive member of MAN, sparked engaging discussions among attendees.
Panel Discussions
A panel discussion moderated by Ms. Pushpa Raj Acharya focused on mobilizing domestic resources for infrastructure financing. Panelists, including leaders from Nepal Insurance Authority, the Employee Provident Fund, and Nepal Infrastructure Bank, shared practical solutions to enhance financial access and improve project implementation efficiency.
AGM and Reports
The AGM provided an opportunity for MAN’s leadership team, including its President, Secretary General, and Treasurer, to present their annual and financial reports. This segment also included a floor discussion, addressing member concerns and future strategies.
Award Ceremony
The event concluded with an award ceremony. Dr. Bimal Koirala was honored with the “Lifetime Contribution Award” for his outstanding service to Nepal's management sector. The ceremony also featured the release of the 44th volume of Byabasthapan Journal and the signing of an MoU between MAN and Tribhuvan University to promote academic collaboration in management studies.
