Kathmandu, March 3, 2025 - In an inspiring initiative to uplift and empower Nepali women, DV Education Group successfully hosted Saksham Nari 5.0, a two-day event held on March 2 and 3, 2025, at Shubhashree College of Management in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu. Focused on skill development and leadership training, the event aimed to accelerate the progress of women and girls in Nepal through financial independence and empowerment.
The event featured dynamic workshops and interactive sessions tailored to help women gain practical skills, entrepreneurial insights, and tools for self-reliance. Addressing the event, Ishani Shrestha, Director of Shubhashree College of Management, emphasized the critical role of women’s empowerment in achieving societal progress, especially by fostering financial independence. Similarly, Manita Oli, Principal of the College, highlighted how initiatives like Saksham Nari enable women to overcome barriers and contribute meaningfully to the economy and their communities.
Saksham Nari 5.0 was supported by several prominent organizations, including FMNW, WEAN Multipurpose Co-Operative Ltd., Project Smile, and the National Farmers Group Federation (NFGF). These organizations collectively worked to make the event a platform for inspiring change and empowering women.
Additionally, strategic partnerships with Vatsalya, Veda, Vivanta Kathmandu, Metro Market, and Anand Karna Digital (AKD) enhanced the program’s scope and outreach, demonstrating a collective commitment to gender equality and sustainable development.
Themed “Accelerate Action: For ALL Women and Girls – Rights, Equality, Empowerment,” the initiative reiterated the importance of collaborative efforts in creating a more inclusive and equitable society.
