Kathmandu – Nepal is currently experiencing varied weather patterns due to the partial influence of a westerly low-pressure system and local winds, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division. While the hilly regions are witnessing partly to generally cloudy skies, the rest of the country enjoys partly cloudy to clear weather conditions.
The Division forecasts that today, hilly areas across the country will maintain partly to generally cloudy conditions, while other regions are expected to experience a mix of partly cloudy and clear skies.
There is a likelihood of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places of the hilly areas in Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces. Other hilly regions may also see isolated instances of light rain. Moreover, the high hilly and mountainous areas of these provinces could witness light snowfall, while one or two locations in other high-altitude regions might also experience similar conditions.
In addition, the Division has issued a cautionary notice for Koshi and Madhesh provinces, where strong winds may impact daily life. This could lead to minor disruptions in health, road, and air transport.
Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant against potential risks and take necessary precautions to minimize impacts on daily activities and transportation systems.
This dynamic weather highlights the need for proactive measures, especially in the affected regions, to ensure safety and adaptability to shifting conditions.
