Kathmandu, March 31, 2025 – The Balbalika tatha Yuwa (BaYu) Sambaad, an exclusive dialogue for children and youth, is set to provide a platform for young voices ahead of the much-anticipated Sagarmatha Sambaad scheduled for May 16-18, 2025. This initiative focuses on empowering young people, addressing their climate vulnerabilities, and promoting innovative, youth-led solutions to the global climate crisis.
Organized with the theme “The Future of Humanity,” BaYu Sambaad aims to ensure meaningful participation of children and youth aged 15-29 from across Nepal. The dialogue will highlight the critical role young people play in climate action and advocacy. The outcomes from BaYu Sambaad will be presented at the Sagarmatha Sambaad to ensure that youth voices are integrated into broader discussions on climate policies and actions.
Participants will gain a unique opportunity to engage with experts, contribute to shaping children and youth-friendly climate policies, and amplify their advocacy efforts on an international stage.
Applications are now open for motivated individuals passionate about climate action, environmental sustainability, and policy advocacy. Young people interested in becoming agents of change can apply to join this transformative dialogue.
