Kathmandu, Nepal – Nepal Insurance Company Limited (NICL) successfully concluded its 76th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Chaitra 19, 2081. The meeting was held at Nepal Pragya Pratisthan, Kamaladi, Kathmandu, starting at 11 AM.
One of the key agendas of the AGM was the endorsement of a 15.79% dividend for the fiscal year 2080/81. The company’s board of directors, in a meeting held on Falgun 24, approved the distribution of 15% bonus shares and a 0.79% cash dividend, which includes the amount allocated for tax purposes. With a paid-up capital of Rs. 1.63 Arba, the bonus shares amount to Rs. 24.66 Crores, while the cash dividend accounts for Rs. 1.29 Crores.
Apart from the dividend distribution, the AGM also discussed and endorsed the auditor's report, including profit and loss statements, financial reports, and cash flow statements. Additionally, the meeting appointed an auditor for the fiscal year 2081/82 and approved the appointment of directors.
The company had set Chaitra 07 as the book closure date, ensuring that only shareholders who held shares before this date were eligible to receive the dividend and participate in the AGM.
