Nawalpur, April 11, 2025 – The Natural Hospital in Rajahar, Nawalpur, has been gaining prominence as a pioneering center for natural therapy in Nepal, providing hope for patients who have failed to recover through conventional medical treatments. This unique healthcare facility, based on naturopathic principles, combines elements like earth, water, air, fire, herbs, scientific massage, acupuncture, physiotherapy, yoga, and meditation to treat complex ailments.
Prominent political figures such as CPN (Maoist Center) Deputy General Secretary Barshaman Pun and former Speaker Onsari Gharti have attested to its effectiveness. Pun, who was wheelchair-bound due to a pinched nerve and chronic jaundice, recovered within 13 days of treatment at the hospital. Gharti, suffering from knee erosion, obesity, thyroid issues, and diabetes, described her recovery as “miraculous.”
A Growing Trust in Natural Therapy
Former Minister Ganesh Shah, who also benefited from the hospital’s services, emphasized the transformative impact of natural therapy, stating, “I was skeptical at first, but after experiencing it, I believe everyone should visit this place at least once.”
Patients like Ujjwal Sharma, Director of Himalaya Times Daily, have highlighted the potential of natural therapy as an alternative to modern medicine. Sharma remarked, “Despite the advancements in medical science, this approach is cost-effective, natural, and equally impactful. The government should prioritize it.”
Rising Popularity and Expanding Facilities
The hospital currently accommodates 125 patients, but the rising demand has led to plans for expansion. According to hospital manager Hari Prasad Sapkota, a new building under construction will increase the hospital’s capacity to 300 patients by the end of Asar. The hospital is also preparing to transition into a teaching institution, with curriculum development underway and necessary approvals in the pipeline.
Sapkota highlighted the hospital’s compliance with all requirements for a teaching hospital, including its spacious 10 bigha campus and affordable treatment costs. “This centrally located facility has the potential to serve patients from all parts of Nepal, and we are working towards developing it into a full-fledged teaching hospital,” he said.
Government Support and Future Prospects
The hospital’s journey has been marked by significant government support. During Barshaman Pun’s tenure as Finance Minister, NPR 124.6 million was allocated for its development. Inspired by his recovery, Pun has advocated for further funding to bolster the hospital’s services and facilities.
With its holistic approach and growing trust among patients, the Natural Hospital in Rajahar is set to revolutionize healthcare in Nepal. Its focus on sustainable, natural healing aligns with the growing global trend of integrating traditional therapies with modern medicine, making it a beacon of hope for those seeking alternative treatments.
