Kathmandu, October 6, 2024 – The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has provided a virtual orientation and training session for municipalities recommended for disaster crisis declaration. The training focused on the ‘Temporary Housing Construction Grant Guidelines, 2081,’ which aims to support families affected by recent disasters.
The session was attended by municipal technical staff and disaster contact personnel. Senior Divisional Engineer Sudip Bikram Bhatt from the NRA led the training, explaining the procedures for identifying beneficiaries as per the guidelines. He also instructed participants on how to fill out necessary forms, including Schedules 1 and 2, for the allocation of grants.
Additionally, NRA’s Computer Operator, Anup Karki, demonstrated how to upload the relevant data onto the Disaster Portal, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
The NRA's efforts are part of an ongoing initiative to streamline disaster response efforts and provide timely assistance to families in need of temporary housing. The Disaster Portal has been central to this process, acting as a hub for real-time data collection and tracking of relief efforts.
