Kathmandu, April 27, 2025 — Embark College hosted the "Embark Research Review" today, a pivotal event addressing sustainability and financial inclusion under the theme "Towards a Sustainable Nepal." The program brought together experts, scholars, and policymakers to explore innovative solutions for Nepal's sustainable development.
The event commenced at midday with arrival and registration, followed by networking opportunities for attendees. The formal program began with a welcome speech by Ashis Thakur, Executive Director and CEO of Embark College, who emphasized the role of education and research in driving sustainability initiatives.
Keynote speaker Prof. Jean-Noël Ezingeard, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Roehampton, delivered an insightful address, underscoring the global relevance of financial inclusion in achieving sustainable development goals.
A panel discussion, featuring eminent speakers from various sectors, delved into pressing issues and shared perspectives on fostering a sustainable economy. The event also included the launch of a case study booklet, showcasing research contributions from Embark College.
Dr. Saurav Satyal, Academic Lead at Embark College, presented a case study that highlighted practical solutions tailored to Nepal’s socio-economic landscape. The program's highlight was keynote message by Chief Guest Hon’ble Prithvi Subba Gurung, Minister of Communication and Information Technology, who physically won't be presence the event but commended Embark College for its commitment to sustainability education.
The program concluded with a token of appreciation presented to the chief guest, followed by closing remarks from Dr. Stephen Driver, Principal of Embark College. Networking and high tea provided a platform for further collaboration among participants.
